Trademark is defined in article 2 of Afghanistan Trademark Law as follows:
“Trademarks consist of (one or more) names, words, signatures, letters, figures, drawings, symbols, titles, seals, pictures, inscriptions, advertisements or packs or any other mark or a combination thereof.”. Trademark uniquely identifies a firm and its goods or services, guarantees the item’s genuineness, and gives it owner the legal rights to prevent the trademark’s unauthorized use.
In article 6 of Afghanistan Trademark Law is defined which symbols forbidden to be used as trademark.
