According to Afghanistan Trademark Registration Law “paragraph 22” the non-use of a registered trademark for a period of three years is also a ground for cancellation.

There is not any grace period for renewal registration; therefore the concerned trademark will be cancelled after expiration period.

If the owner of a registered trademark wants to cancel the concerned trademark during the ten years protection, we will file a cancellation application and after publication in official gazette the APTO will cancel the trademark.
