Your Guide to Protecting Your Ideas and Brands

Merger

Article 11 of the Afghanistan Trademark Registration Law has regulated all changes which can take place in a registered trademark as follows:

“Where changes are made to a registered trademark, or to the goods, products, or services for which the trademark has been registered, such changes shall be registered separately in the Central Registration Office, otherwise they shall not be valid.”

The requirement for the merger of two companies is a power of attorney duly legalized up to the Afghanistan Consulate, a document showing the merger, which has been issued by the competent local authority, and a scanned copy of the registration certificate or last renewal certificate.

Filing Requirements

Legalized power of attorney, scan copy of registration certificates
